SIGNS OF METH USE

Signs of meth use include hyperactivity, wakefulness, loss of appetite, incessant talking, extreme moodiness and irritability, repetitious behaviors such as picking at skin or pulling out hair, false sense of confidence and power, aggressive or violent behavior, and loss of interest in previously enjoyed activities. As effects of the drug wane, the user may sleep for extended periods (24-48 hours or more) and exhibit prolonged sluggishness and severe depression.

The paraphernalia of meth use may be observed: syringes, razor blades, drinking straws cut down to 3-4”, small zipper-closure plastic bags (1-2” square), and small glass pipes.
